LO: 87
Just about ready to trek off for some groceries. And I'm bushed. I'll have a nice nap later.
Bashas was crawling with Europeans. It is so much fun. Invited the father of a family to sit with me as his table was overflowing. His friend joined us and we had a nice chat. They were from the Netherlands. :)!
Finished my first lesson from Interaction of Color:
"We try to find those colors which are more inclined to exert influence and to distinguish them from those which will accept influence."
I chose the backgrounds where the small rectangle color changed the most. Yellow was the most influencing and least to be influenced. I'm suspecting that had as much to do with value than anything else. It was an interesting exercise. I tried to match the main background as much as possible to the digital image of the yarn. See the little square in the upper left corner. However, even on the Bernat's website the image of the yarn and the photo of finished pieces hardly matched at all. So when the yarns come it is always a surprise. I'm not sure how this exercise could be translated to an exercise using yarn. Hmmmmm???? I guess I'll weave a bit and see. Anyway I added some cotton yarn for dishtowels.
