OMG

HI:  107*
LO:  87

I just started going through Tod's book looking at the weavers she acknowledged in her Preface.  Then I went to handweaving.net to research each of them and found a treasure trove of documents,  not to mention the extensive collection of the papers of Mary Atwater.  This is going to be fun!

Here are the names so far:
National Conference of American Handweavers (1943)
Helen Louise Allen
Mary Meigs Atwater (too extensive to download all of it)
Florence E. House

Here come's the fun.  For the conference in 1943 Allen taught a course on

Early Peasant Weaving and Weaving in United States up to 1900.

Found the drafts in the Bronsons' book (1817) at handweaving.net.  Fun place to start but unfortunately most of them are 5, 6, or 7 shafts.  Found a simple one for four shaft shown below.

Unfortunately I have no idea what Allen would have used for course material, so I'll just have to make up my own.  Good stuff on Canada available also.
