The Temperature Blanket starts today! Actually the Summer Solstice started last night at 10:04 pm according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
After some consideration, do I use the low from last night and the high from today, or do I wait until the observed temperature for today is posted tomorrow? Decisions, decisions, decisions!
Started the Shifted Shell Market Bag pattern, which I will not post here because I'm changing it. Crocheting it in Lion Brand Recycled Cotton.
Here's the modified instructions just for me:
Chain 31 sts. Do a sc in the back loop of the second ch from the hook. Continue doing sc to the end of the chain, turn and do a sc in every front loop. After, for the bottom, do sc in back loops only. Do 3 sc in the first st at the beginning row, and sc down the row until the last sc of that row, do 3sc in that sc. Do 3 sc in the first st of the return row, sc in every sc to the last, and then do 3 sc. The pattern of increases is now established. Do 3 sc in the center of each 3sc, sc in the rest of the sc, increasing every row until the bottom of the bag is the size wanted, approximate 4" wide. Do one row around in sc without increases.
Chance to the new color and sc around using both loops. At the end of a round, ss into the beg. sc of the previous round, ch1 and sc in the next st and around. Repeat 3 rounds.
Starting Shells: Ss into the beg sc of the previous round. Ch 3, 1dc, ch1, 2dc, skip 2 sc, *2dc,ch1,2dc, skip 2 sc,* repeat to end of row. Ss to third ch, ss to ch 1 sp, ch3, 1dc,ch1, 2dc, and repeat from * to ** until desired height for bag, approximately 12 repeats.
Starting handles:
Starting to look like a market bag!
